How long will I be in therapy?

The length of therapy depends on when you reach your goals and feel comfortable navigating challenges and obstacles in life on your own.

Is there anyone you won’t see?
For safety measures, since this is a virtual platform, we do not see clients who are experiencing active suicidal ideation or self-harm.
What are the risks and benefits of therapy?
The risk of therapy is unveiling certain aspects about yourself that may be deeply rooted and buried. Sometimes, people are not ready to face these realizations, and the surfacing of them can be triggering. The benefits include self-mastery and self-awareness. Therapy is beneficial in removing the invisible shackles connected to trauma, mental health symptoms, etc., that influence our life decisions and how we navigate the world.
Do you take sides?
Whether it is individual or couples therapy, my goal is to ensure that the message of each side is being comprehended. Individual therapy looks like providing various perspectives about a situation and comprehending how you arrived at your perspective. In couples therapy, each party’s perspective, view, way of thinking, and interpretation are heard and comprehended.
Do you take notes?
Yes, we take notes. Our method is to give a synopsis of the session without being too specific. We give enough information to detail the basics of what occurred in the session.
Have you been in therapy?
We firmly believe that anything not growing or healing is not evolving. We are always healing and engaged in therapeutic practices.
How do I know if virtual therapy is right for me?
Firstly, assess your comfort level with technology and whether you can access a private and reliable Internet connection. Additionally, consider your communication preferences and whether you feel comfortable discussing personal matters through virtual platforms. If you have physical limitations that make attending in-person sessions challenging or live in a remote area without access to traditional therapy services, virtual therapy might be a suitable option.
Can I have my therapy session in my pajamas?
Yes, please come in what makes you feel comfortable. Of course, we ask that all private parts be covered.
Can I bring my pet to my virtual therapy session?
Yes, animals appear on screen all the time during sessions.
Will you judge my virtual background?
Your background is considered part of your space. Please feel free to cater it to your needs.
Is it okay if my internet connection isn't perfect during sessions?
While being on camera is ideal, we comprehend that technology has its ways, and comfort levels vary. We are still able to get the work done.
Can I drink coffee or tea during my virtual therapy session?
Absolutely.
Will my therapist know if I'm secretly snacking during our session?
You do not have to hide; eat as needed.
What if my toddler makes a surprise appearance during the session?
We accept their presence and create space and accommodations to ensure your comfort.
